• Trials with monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) are now being started, with MAbs against colon cancer tagged to a radioisotope being used to locate hidden cancer sites before and during surgery. Preliminary results seem promising, although the eventual role of MAbs is yet to be determined ( See Summary of Consensus Conference on Colon and Rectal Cancer ).
